The lines that will be affected by the changes are M10, M12, M13, M22, Z-13, Z210, 0, 1N, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 36, 37, 46, 48, 50, 51, 61, 98, 110, 115, 120, 130, 130N, 154, 177, 193, 296, 297, 297N, 600, 632, 657, 657N, 672, 672N, 674, 688, 689, 880, 900, 905N, 910, 911, 913 and 930. A large part of the buses of these lines pass on the street Mikołowska Street, and in most of these cases, new routes will be introduced. These will apply in one direction only, i.e., for services running down Mikołowska Street toward the city center. Instead of turning right before the viaduct, buses will pass under it and head either to the train station or Wolności Square.

A special announcement is now available: Katowice – Partial restoration of passage under the railway viaduct over Mikołowska Street - ZTM Announcements

Along with the route changes for many lines, other timetable changes will also be introduced, affecting approximately 30 bus routes. For passengers, this primarily means adjustments to bus departure times from individual stops.

In Sosnowiec, buses and trams are returning to their regular routes.
The railway viaduct underpass on Piłsudskiego Street in Sosnowiec will reopen. On December 13th, buses and trams will return to their regular routes. The changes will affect 22 tram and bus lines that run through eight cities in the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis.

The opening of the railway viaduct underpass in the center of Sosnowiec means, among other things, that direct tram connections between Zagórze in Sosnowiec and the center of Katowice can be restored. Furthermore, buses can be redirected to shorter routes, eliminating detours through Pogoń. The changes affect lines that run beyond Sosnowiec. Passengers from Będzin, Bytom, Czeladź, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Katowice, Mysłowice, Piekary Śląskie, and Siemianowice Śląskie, who commute to the capital of Zagłębie, should also be aware of the information.

How will the trams run?

The changes will affect 11 tram lines – 15, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28, 34, 36, 41, and 45. The most important changes involve the reinstatement of regular routes on three of them. This applies to lines 15, 21, and 26 – the latter of which will also see increased tram frequency. In addition to reinstating routes familiar to passengers, changes will include the implementation of new timetables. These will apply to lines 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 28, 34, 36, and 41.

Changes to bus traffic

Diversions through Pogoń in Sosnowiec will be removed. This solution affects lines M4, M17, 91, 299, 723, 808, 813, 835, and 902N. This will shorten travel times between the initial and final stops. Additionally, timetables will be changed on lines M17 and 835.

The changes will also affect replacement bus routes. Line Z-21 will be suspended, and line Z-45 will have its route shortened to the Zawodzie CP – Szopienice Dolina 5 Stawów route.

Trams will not pass under the viaduct in Sosnowiec. Route and timetable changes

On October 6th, the routes and timetables of eight tram lines will change.

The underpass under the railway viaduct over Żeromskiego Street in Sosnowiec will be closed. Public transport must be adapted to the next phase of PKP PLK investment work. Passengers on lines 21 and 27 will experience the greatest disruption. These trams will operate on shortened routes. The former will run between the Tworzeń Huta Katowice and Będzin Cmentarz Komunalny sections, while the latter will operate between the Kazimierz Górniczy Pętla and Sosnowiec Al. Zwycięstwa stops. This means that the Milowice Pętla – Pogoń Akademiki and the Zamkowe Zajezdnia – Sosnowiec Estakada sections will not be served by trams.

Replacement bus line Z-21 will be launched. Buses will serve the closed section, from the Będzin Cmentarz Komunalny stop to the Milowice Hala Sportowa stop.

Other Changes
The modifications will also affect six other tram lines – 0, 15, 24, 26, 34, and 36. Departure times will be adjusted, and routes for inbound and outbound services will be changed.
