Większa elastyczność, wydłużony czas ważności biletów. Transport GZM z nową ofertą
Starting January 1, 2026, passengers of GZM Transport will benefit from a new, more flexible ticket offer. The changes will apply to 90-minute tickets and those included in the "Start/Stop" offer. The new ticket versions will provide even greater flexibility in using buses, trams, and trolleybuses in the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis. Prices will remain unchanged.
More Options with the "Start/Stop" Offer
The "Start/Stop" option allows for the settlement of even very short journeys. The system calculates the actual travel time. This is an attractive offer, as with this option, passengers pay no more than PLN 13 per day. Previously, six time slots were available. Starting January 1, the offer will be expanded to include new ones: 20-30 minutes, 30-40 minutes, 40-60 minutes, and 60-120 minutes.
What does this mean for passengers? First and foremost, more savings. Previously, a 25-minute journey cost PLN 5.20. By expanding the offer and adding a 20-30 minute slot, such a journey will cost 4.70 PLN.
Same price, more time. Not 90 minutes, but 120 minutes.
The current single/short-term "90-minute" ticket will be replaced with a ticket valid for 120 minutes. This means more time for transfers and more relaxed travel planning, at the same price. The "120-minute" ticket will cost the same as the current 90-minute ticket: a standard paper ticket of 7.00 PLN, a concession ticket of 3.50 PLN, and the electronic versions of 6.60 PLN and 3.30 PLN, respectively.
The changes also apply to "Group" tickets. Groups of up to five people will be able to travel for 120 minutes instead of 90, and without any price change.
Importantly, "120-minute" and "Group" tickets will no longer be valid "until the end of the journey," but longer. This is because the 120-minute validity period is longer than any of the journeys operated by Transport GZM.
Transition Period
Holders of purchased and unused "90-minute" and "Group" tickets do not need to worry about refunds. These tickets will be valid and honored as 120-minute tickets throughout 2026. This solution allows for the use of existing supplies and gives passengers additional time to acclimate to the changes.
We also remind you that, as of January 1st, drivers will no longer be selling tickets.
Unification of Free Travel for Youth
The fare change will also unify the provisions regarding the metropolitan discount, which provides free travel for children and youth residing in the GZM area. The change applies to those who have this discount coded to their ŚKUP card and have not yet created an account in the Transport GZM system. From January 1st, the metropolitan tax relief will apply to everyone on the same terms, from age 7 up to their 16th birthday. The change will be implemented automatically.
