Nearly 60 lines affected. Public transport during the Tour de Pologne
On August 7th, due to the Tour de Pologne cycling race, the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) must implement numerous changes to public transport. These will primarily affect the southern municipalities of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis, but also – though to a lesser extent – towns in the central and western parts of the region.
The modifications to the GZM Transport Authority will affect nearly 60 lines – over 50 bus lines and 4 trolleybus lines. Passengers should primarily expect route changes (some will be shortened, others extended) and the suspension or postponement of some services. The changes will be temporary, meaning they will apply at specific times – in most cases, this will be early afternoon.
To minimize disruptions and due to the need to shorten routes for lines 37, 75, 268, 695, and M18, the Metropolitan Transport Authority will launch two replacement bus lines in Mikołów. The buses will be designated Z-75 and Z-95. The former will run on the Mikołów Dworzec – Mikołów Krakowska route, while the latter will run on the Mikołów Dworzec – Mikołów Musioła route.
Detailed information is available on the GZM Transport website under the Announcements tab. Those interested in the changes can also call the free, 24-hour hotline. Furthermore, on race day, information officers will be available at the bus stops affected by the most changes in Mikołów, Tychy, and Gliwice. Their role will be to assist passengers by providing information about the changes.
